Position Overview:

As the Assistant Manager in Procurement, you play a vital role in supporting the Head of Procurement in overseeing the comprehensive procurement process for both local and overseas needs. Your responsibilities include managing centralized procurement, strong sourcing across diverse food categories, and ensuring effective order placement timing, supply/demand alignment, and material replenishment. Additionally, you will be actively involved in inventory monitoring, collaboration with the production department, and maintaining relationships with a significant number of SKUs and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Comprehensive Procurement Management: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for both local and overseas requirements.
  2. Sourcing Strategies: Execute sourcing strategies and maintain a comprehensive database of suppliers and products for real-time data retrieval.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively engage with internal stakeholders to plan and prioritize purchasing activities.
  4. Diverse Sourcing Expertise: Utilize strong sourcing experience across various food categories, including fresh produce, beverages, dairy products, organic items, proteins, frozen foods, seafood, superfoods, canned products, gluten/lactose-free items, dry fruits, nuts, pasta, spices, pulses, and manufacturing ingredients.
  5. Inventory Monitoring: Regularly monitor inventory with sales trends to prevent excess or shortages of products.
  6. Market and Product Trends: Monitor business trends and product availability to secure the best price without compromising quality or delivery terms.

The responsibilities include managing centralized procurement for GCC region, strong sourcing across diverse food categories mainly NUTS, and ensuring effective order placement timing, supply/demand alignment, and material replenishment.

Additionally, the candidate will be actively involved in inventory monitoring. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing costs, ensuring the quality and reliability, and establishing effective relationships with suppliers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Comprehensive Procurement Management: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for both local and overseas requirements.
  2. Sourcing Strategies: Execute sourcing strategies and maintain a comprehensive database of suppliers and products for real-time data retrieval.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively engage with internal stakeholders to plan and prioritize purchasing activities.
  4. Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions. Evaluate and select suppliers based on performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  5. Contract Management: Oversee the development and management of contracts for all categories, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
  6. Inventory Monitoring: Regularly monitor inventory with sales trends to prevent excess or shortages of products.
  7. Market and Product Trends: Monitor business trends and product availability to secure the best price without compromising quality or delivery terms.

 

 

Qualifications:
